Why become a member?
The Lille Convention Bureau is a non profit-making organization dedicated to promoting Lille and its region as a business destination. Becoming a member of the Lille Convention Bureau means investing in the promotion and economic development of Greater Lille, while benefitting from our expertise and international exposure to promote your activity. Furthermore, you will take advantage of economic benefits resulting from our actions.
Your organization’s name will appear on the new and improved Lille Convention Bureau website and you will receive a price reduction for a listing in the “Meet in Lille!” brochure. Membership will allow you to take part in prospection, trade shows and educational programs in France or abroad, and to receive the Lille Convention Bureau’s studies and annual report.

The Lille Convention Bureau’s missions:
The Lille Convention Bureau’s primary goal is to bring together members of the business tourism industry to develop economic activity, generate new jobs, and promote the region internationally with means on par with European capital cities.
The Lille Convention Bureau also acts as the liaison between institutions, business tourism professionals, and events planners, so that they may advise each other and work together to organize business events.
The objective is to develop business events and meetings such as:
- • Congresses and conventions
- • Conferences and symposiums
- • Seminars and company meetings
- • Fairs, exhibitions, trade shows
The Lille Convention Bureau markets and promotes the Greater Lille Metropolitan area and the Nord-Pas de Calais region, reacting to changes in the different business tourism markets.
The Lille Convention Bureau is composed of the following :
- • Founding Members :
The founding corporate members are the following :
- » The Lille Metropole Urban Community
- » The Greater Lille Chamber of Commerce
- » The City of Lille
- » The Lille Tourist Office
- » The Lille Grand Palais
- • Active Members:
May be either corporate bodies or individuals whose activities or interests are in direct relation to the objectives of the Lille Convention Bureau. Active members are divided into two categories:
- » Category A: The members are domiciled in the city of Lille
- » Category B: The members are domiciled outside of the city of Lille or in the Greater Lille Metropolitan area and/or the Nord-Pas de Calais region.
- • Honored Members :
Honored members may be either corporate bodies or individuals, who have aided or supported the Lille Convention Bureau in some manner.
The honored members are divided into three groups:
- » “Institutions dedicated to promotion or prospection” (cities, tourist offices, etc.)
- » “Infrastructures” (hotels and event sites)
- » “Service Providers” (restaurants, event planning agencies, technical services providers, etc.)
Becoming a member of the Lille Convention Bureau
All membership applications must be sent by mail. The application form may be downloaded on our website. If your application is not accepted, we are not obligated to provide the reason. Memberships take effect the day that the Lille Convention Bureau accepts the application.
