Shopping and Nightlife

Shopping

The wide range of shops and styles available in Greater Lille will make even the most seasoned shopper’s head spin. The charming streets of the Vieux Lille house everything from trendy boutiques and well-known luxury fashion houses to art galleries and antique shops. And in the city center, the Printemps and Galeries Lafayette department stores offer an unrivaled selection of goods.

Near Lille’s two train stations you’ll find Euralille, a shopping center with over 100 stores, designed by world-renowned architect and urban planner Jean Nouvel. And the colorful Wazemmes neighborhood will attract bargain-hunters and those looking for exotic items, from food to furniture. The Sunday morning market is a must-see!

In Roubaix, a city known internationally for its textile industry, good deals are guaranteed at the city’s factory outlet shops. Many young designers have set up shop here, understanding that the city is a new “in” place to be!

GAEL A unique idea : the G.A.E.L brings together 300 shops from Lille’s city center to make shopping a real pleasure. You’ll find hostesses in the city center ready to help orient you to the best shops for your needs and whims!
